Rising Stars 1

(8 yrs. & above) - Beginner 1
The Rising Stars 1 class is specifically tailored for the beginning gymnast. Gymnasts will be introduced to the basic core skills of gymnastics on all four apparatus (vault, uneven bars, balance beam and floor exercise). Proper stretching techniques & strength training will be emphasized to provide a foundation for continued progression. The Rising Stars 2 class will further build on core skills taught in Chameleon 2, Geckos or Rising Stars 1. This class is designed for children ages 8 and above. Gymnasts will learn new, more difficult ways to perform the basic core skills. They will also progress to intermediate level skills on all apparatus that will require added focus, increased strength and flexibility. The Soaring Stars class is our intermediate program for gymnasts. The Soaring Stars class will further build on the skills that were mastered in Geckos or Rising Stars 2. Gymnasts will focus on maintaining the basic and fundamental gymnastics skills with a large focus on form and technique. Gymnasts will also continue to perfect their intermediate level skills and progress to more difficult skills on all apparatus.
